ACA Administration 

Registering on a BPP course does not register you as an ICAEW student member. You must do this separately. You can do this via your training manager, if you have a secured training contract, online or by post. AAT and independent students will need to apply by post.

website.
 
There are four essential elements that you must successfully complete during your ACA training. These are:
1. 15 Exams
2. 450 days of technical work experience (TWE) -
3. Initial professional development (IPD)
4. Structured training in ethics (STE).
You must successfully complete all four elements in order to gain the ACA qualification

ACA Syllabus

The ACA qualification entails:
  • Computer-based assessments (CBA's) in the early stages of the qualification to give you more time later in the course to focus on the core areas of the syllabus
  • Flexibility in the choice of topics you want to study
  • Enhanced emphasis on the difference between international and national accounting standards
  • Strong emphasis on ethics

Exemptions

Exemptions for prior learning are available for some of the Professional Stage, Knowledge Level papers.
